SANY crane solutions on an urban construction site
On urban high-rise sites crane choice is both an engineering and a logistics decision. Tight plots, limited access and dense lift schedules make the wrong model expensive. On this Baku project SANY rough-terrain and crawler crane solutions combined stability with agility.
Challenge
The site perimeter was constrained while materials had to be lifted at different radii. An oversized crane wasted repositioning time; an undersized one reduced safety margin. Panel assembly and equipment placement shared the same weekly plan.
Solution approach
SANY cranes were selected for stability across the required lift radii. Material lifts, panel assembly and equipment placement were synchronised in one plan. Operator visibility and strict load-chart compliance were treated as core safety rules.
Workflow
- Align the weekly lift plan with the load chart
- Prepare the positioning scheme early for tight access
- Extra checks before critical lifts
- Log next-day risks in the evening report
Result
Repositioning loss fell, lifts became more precise and operator visibility improved. The assembly schedule advanced without breaks and site safety indicators stayed stable.
What we learned
On urban sites the winner is not the biggest crane — it is the best-fit crane. SANY Azerbaijan supports customers with load-chart and site-condition matching.
